AFCAT 1 2023 Notification Out: Indian Air Force (IAF) has released AFCAT 1 short notification 2023 on November 25 to fill up a total of 256 vacancies. The detailed notification along with the application form has been released on December 1. The last date to fill the application form is December 30. AFCAT 1 notification 2023 PDF has been released to select candidates for Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches for courses commencing in January 2024. AFCAT 1 2023 exam will be conducted on February 24, 25 and 26, 2023.

AFCAT Application form

Candidates whofulfils the eligibility criteria are required to fill the AFCAT 2 application form 2023. The application fee can be paid online. The application fee is INR 250 for all categories. The steps to fill the application form are given below:

AFCAT 2 Eligibility 2023

Candidates applying for the Flying Branch should be between 20 and 24 years as on January 1, 2024. The age limit of candidates applying to the Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical Branches) should be between 20 and 26 years as on January 1, 2024. The basic educational qualification is graduation; however, this varies as per the departments and branches.

AFCAT Exam Pattern 2023

All registered candidates are required to appear for the online test AFCAT. It is mandatory for the candidates opting for Ground Duty (Technical) branch to appear in both AFCAT and Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT). AFCAT exam pattern is such that it comprises four sections, General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability and Reasoning, and Military Aptitude Test. The duration of the test is two hours. The test comprises 100 questions and carries 300 marks. The EKT exam is conducted for 45 minutes. The test carries question from Mechanical, Computer Science, and Electrical & Electronics. The test paper carries 50 questions. The maximum marks allotted to the EKT are 150.

AFCAT Syllabus 2023

The level of Numerical Ability questions is of the Class 10 standard. The questions in other subjects are of graduation level. Candidates can check below the AFCAT syllabus:

English: Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion/ Filling in of correct word, Synonyms, Antonyms and Testing of Vocabulary, Idioms, and Phrases.

General Awareness: History, Geography, Civics, Politics, Current Affairs, Environment, Basic Science, Defence, Art, Culture, Sports, etc.

Numerical Ability: Decimal Fraction, Time and Work, Average, Profit & Loss, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion and Simple Interest, Time & Distance (Trains/Boats & Streams).

Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test: Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability.
